Do you record your voice in other languages?


No, as native French, I prefer to record only in French but if necessary, I can then refer you to other providers I know.


What about sound quality ?


Your text will be recorded on a top quality equipment : micro Neumann U87ai, one of the best worldwide references with a precise and soft sound, Preamp Robbie Blue Microphone for an excellent transparency. Finally everything is recorded in a quiet environment. A Digidesign Mbox3 sound card coupled with the Pro Tools software allows a good coherence of the audio chain and guarantees that the sound will not deteriorate during its treatment.

The whole thing is recorded in a professional vocal booth in order to suppress the effects of reverberations. 

Yes, the sound can definitely be compared to any other professional studio.

The combination of specialized professional equipment is not comparable with any traditional Hi-Fi elements. The sound is clearly defined, the breath is weak. Generally, no processing is made to the sound so that customers can apply equalizations, compressions, limiter etc ... If you do not have hardware to maximize the dynamics of the sound, I can apply these types of effects. Finally, the experience and the interpretation of a text influence the sound quality. A voice actor knows the techniques in order to not saturate the sound or create too large differences in sound pressure.


What about format and resolution ?


Files are usually sent in mono WAV or MP3 format according to customer needs.

Sometimes clients want to receive a file in AIF or different types of MP3 resolution.

Finally for video editing, the format WAV - 16 bits - 48ktz is widely used and can be easily imported into video editing software (Final Cut, After Effects etc ...)

Of course, if you have technical specifications to respect, do not hesitate to provide as much information as possible.




How can I receive large files on my computer?


Audio files can sometimes weigh several hundred megabytes, and traditional mail usually blocks shipments that are larger than 10 MB.

If your file is larger than 10MB, you will receive a Wetransfer link in your inbox, prompting you to download a large file directly to your computer. In this way, you will download the file whenever you want, without cluttering the reception of your mailbox. The Wetransfer site is a reference in this field. It allows the transfer of files up to 2 GB.


Can I reuse this file at will on any media?


When drawing up the estimate, you will be asked to indicate which will be the different dissemination media. Be careful, the files can not be recycled on other media and to other clients without my agreement. If you want the broadcasting rights to be granted on all types of media and for an indefinite period, it must be specified at the request for quote. A mention may appear on the invoice entitling you to reuse the file as you see fit.


What are your usual deadlines?


It all depends on my schedule, the difficulty or the duration of the recording of the script. In general, I try to finish the work within 24 hours or the same day after validation of the order. But it may happen that it requires more time. Some works require for example a split into several audio files with a specific renaming of each file.

Regularly, I am also asked to rigorously follow a timeline with a pre-established video. Sometimes clients ask me to write texts or translate it. Finally, I sometimes have to interpret several characters by modifying the tone of my voice.

All these different stages take a lot of time. If you have urgent delays, do not hesitate to let me know so that I can deliver your voiceover as soon as possible.
